Strict Guidelines For Hunting instructor Involved In Sex Crimes With Children

Kevin Hoyt, a hunting instructor and television personality now must adhere to some strict legal guidelines. Hoyt, who has his own television show about teaching hunting skills to kids, now must stay even further away from children as his bail conditions have been set in stone. Hoyt claims that he is innocent of charges of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
During his arraignment a couple months ago, the 37-year-old man from Bennington was denied a defense request by Judge David Howard. The request was for Hoyt to be able to make contact with kids under the age of sixteen in order to continue the production of his television show.
Part of Hoyt's work includes taking kids on hunting trips, both in state and out-of-state. He has even recorded some of the trips for his local access show.
Last month, Judge Katherine Hayes of the Vermont District Court amended the rules of release by allowing him to have contact with children only when permission was given by the parents or guardians.
Following this decision, Bennington County Deputy State's Attorney Christina Rainville challenged Hayes' decision by appealing it to the Vermont Supreme Court. Here, Associate Justice Brian Burgess overruled Hayes' decision by making Hoyt's conditions even more strict.
The justice made it clear that the only way Mr. Hoyt will ever have contact with children is when they are accompanied by another adult. Hoyt must also prove to the state that permission was provided by the child's parents through use of documentation. In addition to this, the child's parents must also be informed of the sex crimes that Hoyt is being accused of as well as the pending charges against him.

Please tell me WHEN the law has changed from "innocent until proven quilty" to guilty until proven innocent"? In this case all of the press has labeled Mr. Hoyt as some sort of sex predator. I myself and my four children have been around Mr. Hoyt for years and NOT ONCE has he made any such advances or has given me any indications not to be trusted with children. The truth will come out in the end. And there should be ALOT of PUBLIC apoligize's issued to Mr. Hoyt for everything he is enduring with these accusations.
